Ooops!

I had so much to share about this photo! Serves me right for not checking it! I’ll stick with it though....and it’s made me laugh.

I’ve had a happy and relaxed time with Big Sis in Westerham. We started with an ice-cold milkshake and then a panini lunch. Simple fry but good!

Our short walk took us behind the shops and houses and past two beautiful very old properties. A lovely gentleman came over and was very keen to chat to us, and so I did! I asked about a very old looking wall at the side of the house and discovered he’d built it himself in 1983. It’s fooled more than just me. The outhouse was built, again by him, in 2000 and had to be in character with the farm house which is over 600 years old. Soon they plan to rebuild the roof using all the original tiles. His son has farm land nearby, hence the tractor.

I was fascinated. He said to come back any day and he’d chat some more. His son said to allow a week...

My extra is of the other beautiful property. Someone’s little bit of Paradise!

A post script for my journal.
I have had a letter from the daughter of my school friend Maureen to tell me she died on 5th August from a pulmonary embolism.
Sad and shocked, thinking so much of her family.
