A tender touch
Today we visited the National Trust Sheffield Park and Gardens. These lovely gardens, originally designed in the 18th Century, offer a peaceful walk through wooded areas and around the five lakes. They are extensive even without the open parkland outside the formal gardens.
This couple were having a picnic by one of the lakes, taking shade from the intense heat. I rather liked the tender gesture the girl was giving the man. The ducks just ignored them.
We are staying tonight in a superbly converted barn in the village of Maresfield in Sussex. It is wonderfully quiet, extremely well equipped, and a great place to spend the next couple of days.
A back-blip as I was too relaxed to blip while we were away!
