It’s been a strange summer day with thick haar and heavy rain early this morning, no sun and then heavy rain showers followed this evening by about two hours of almost constant thunder and lightning. Now the thick haar has returned obscuring the houses just along the road and flashes of light continue to light up the sky with rumbles of thunder.  The fields of wheat and barley which I walked past this afternoon are probably drenched and flattened causing more problems for the farmers.  When these workmen return tomorrow to do another rock test bore on the farm they will have to wade through mud to reach their rig
