This Little Darling...

...started school today. Mum said Lucy came pounding up the stairs this morning at 6 O'clock asking if she could put her uniform on. She was so excited. The parents were kept updated with photos of their little darlings on the school Twitter page because they are not allowed into the school due to Covid.
Lucy enjoyed her day so much and came home very tired.
Tomorrow big sister Amelia will be in Primary 4, she is excited to be going back to school too as were Poppy and Arlo who also went back to their wee village school. They've all missed their friends.
I have finally sewn all the squares for Lucy's quilt together (see extra) I found fabrics with lots of things she likes on them - fairies, hearts, strawberries, mermaids, bags, crowns, ukuleles, bunnies, cats, books, ice skaters, kiwi birds (Daddy is from NZ) and lots more.
It seems to have taken me ages - the next one will be quicker. 
It's hard doing anything in this heat but I was determined to get the job done.

Chilling out this evening...well, that's a contradiction in terms in this weather!

So sad about the rail accident in Stonehaven today. Tragic news for some families.
