I picked up this stick to do a job.

A smelly job which I shouldn't have to do if my dog would just pick her toilet place better.

I noticed I had a handsome passenger.

This male Earwig was obviously hiding in the twigs and leaf litter until night fall when he could lay waste to smaller beasties.

Anyway, I found another stick for the job in hand and tried to capture the passenger with my camera in the other hand, so, sorry if it's not blur free, he also tried to move into shadow as I shot.

Best I could do on a very murky day.
