After a prolonged campaign of deeply repugnant videos from the frog faced twit (it took a lot of discipline not to use a different vowel their), whipping himself up to a frenzy about migrants landing on the south coast, he appears to have got traction with other news organisations.

This is just deeply depressing. The man is an appalling racist, there is no significant increase in the regular trickle of people trying to reach this country, fleeing other places we have fully contributed to making hellish, but still we get useless TV reporters scouring the sea in fast boats looking for a flimsy dinghy to harass.

Show some intelligence for god’s sake, you are being played by someone who is only considered a political genius by the morons who keep dancing to his tune.

Have some dignity - when your producer tells you to behave like this, how about saying no? How about if you must do this, insisting on making the great British public aware of the context to all this? How about not calling this a crisis, when it isn’t, and there are genuine ones right under your nose?

Most of all, try to demonstrate a bit of empathy; imagine if you were in their position would you really do anything different?
