Had a craving for a burger and fries this afternoon and, as someone had managed to coup a cup of coffee into my computer keyboard, a necessity to purchase a new computer keyboard. So we headed off, Euan and I, into the retail park for both, after a short wander around the abandoned buildings down by the river here to build up a bit of an appetite.

The usual pay-through-the-nose option for an Apple product and then being hit with a near seven quid times three cost for some charred meat and french fries left the wallet a bit on the light side; when did takeaway fast food go down the route of Apple's premium pricing structure?

Euan's had a nasty infected finger the past couple of days and for some reason had decided that if it was to get amputated he'd like a replacement to be more functional than just a prosthetic finger. As we wandered and chatted he discussed that there could be some sort of USB device installed there and he could use his replacement middle digit to transport all his digital files, reasoning that you're less likely to lose something that was always attached directly to you. It had a certain logic to it I suppose, though seeing a laptop with a middle finger stuck in the side of it might look a bit odd.

I've told him to develop the idea a bit further (though not to the extent of amputation) and we'll see if we can get him on the next series of Dragon's Den with it.
