Good drying day

We’ve seen a lot of cormorants this trip. This one hung out on the mooring buoy just beside us.

It’s been a varied morning, with the Ards Man and I both getting conditions we like at different times. In a swift sail up the western Kyles we had 18-20 knot winds which suited the Ards Man just fine! We even had a couple of reefs in the sails, yet still zoomed along at 7 knots (that’s quick for our boat).

Then after about half an hour of that we were becalmed and the AM had to turn the engine on, which suited me!

It’s very warm now, about 22° and we’ve booked to have a meal ashore this evening. Now relaxing with a chilled beer. This is the life!

With very best wishes for a great wedding day to the Pensioner and dwalleta!!

PS I saw 6 Perseid meteors in a twenty-five minute observing session last night - really pleased! One of them was a fireball that fairly fizzed across the sky.
