Safe harbour

The Ards Man has been an excellent skipper, sailing us hither and yon through sun, wind and (occasionally very heavy) rain. Thankfully we were usually safely alongside before the worst of the rain pelted us!

No sailing today though, just motoring using our engine, as the wind was exactly on our nose the whole journey. We don’t know quite how this happened as we travelled due south for about an hour, turned east for another hour, then a couple of hours’ northward passage!

We’ll tidy everything up and get laundry done before putting the boat to bed here for a week or two. The Ards Man and I will get the ferry back to Belfast before he comes out here again in a week or two for a lads’ week afloat. Well, a pensioners’ week afloat. :)

It has been a really lovely holiday and I spent hardly any money!
