Where's Gillie gone?..

Quite an eventful day today..

Sandra, the postie, brought my new camera..

But, had to bottle the home brew. So a quick check, and shove the battery on charge, and onto the beer. G had washed and sterilised the bottles yesterday, so it only took around 40 mins..

Back to the camera, battery not charged yet, so familiarise myself with the controls..

Download and save some missing instructions for the poly-tunnel that weren't included when it was delivered. I had looked at them before, but not saved them..

Battery is now charged, play with the settings, set the date and time, lets go and have a quick play. It's a nice dry brightish day so should be working on the tunnel really..

Take a dozen or so pics, and see what they're like later..

Boots and overalls on, gather my tools, and..

Croftcrafts and the Crofter turn up. Her broadband has been down all week, and could I download her blips? Boots off, tea, coffee and biscuits while she makes her entries..

3-o-clock, boots back on, and start work. Time to make some final measurements and adjustments, and dig out the two remaining corners. These are on a raised bank, and the soil is quite deep. I decided to use a couple of old iron bars driven into the corners to strengthen them, the corner tubes will slide over them and be concreted in place.. Not enough time left to mix concrete, so I took Tanny up onto the hill and threw her ball around for her to chase..

Sunday tomorrow, day off, I can see a trip to Durness and Balnakiel beach possible.. But, just had a call from a neighbour who's heating isn't working, and could I go round and have a look in the morning?

Oh well..
