Welcome Minnie...

...who arrived in our world this morning, three weeks earlier than she had planned. This might explain her look of surprise.

So here she is, the first grandchild to be dropped into the welcoming branches of our gnarly bit of the family tree.

The facts...weighing just six pounds, she has her father’s dark hair and olive skin and her mother’s charm and silky hockey skills.
She has all the right bits in all the right places, a humbling miracle.
Mostly she’s been sleeping, feeding and lying around in the kitchen sink.

We’ve been furiously practicing the pandemic pas-de-deux before we see her, hopefully at the weekend.
