P6 - Ben’s first day

Ben’s school are doing staggered starts over two days and the full class getting back on Friday. Last time we walked him to school on a Thursday was 19 March and I k ew it would be his last day in P5 and felt quite sad for them. I was so happy the schools are back albeit with measures in place. They are trying to reduce them mixing with the other classes so they have areas to play in the playground and a ten minute slot to eat their pack lunches! They have to try and avoid being close to the adult teachers too.

Parents aren’t allowed in the playground only the P1 parents. In essence it’s trying to avoid large groups congregating. So I meet him further up from the school. Let’s hope it all goes to plan.

He had a great day getting to know his new teacher. Seems like she likes outdoor stuff as she mentioned she climbed Munros so Ben told her about his climb of Ben Chonzie. Also he now wants to visit the longest zip line in Wales as the teacher took her two girls there.

Also good that we are back to the Thursday tea time madness!!
