Another purple day...

on the hills, after a walk upstream to start. The perfume was heady! Along the river there was a Lime tree in full flower too and that smelled wonderful as well. It was also abuzz with bees. But it was definitely the Heather that is so impressive at the moment. Spent several hours wandering along just looking. Saw no one in all that time.
Later, on the way home met a colleague looking at his Small Scabious Mining Bee survey site and we exchanged information. Watched mine in the afternoon and they were very active, lots of new nest holes.
A purple perfumed day!!!
