A misty morning...

turned into a scorcher of a day. Here at the loch in the early morning, this Blue tailed damselfly has drops of dew on his body so rested on the heather to dry out. The woods were full of Crossbills, Crested Tits, Goldcrests and assorted others!
Bees, Wasps, Hoverflies and my lovely Small Scabious Mining Bee were all very active.
Picked lots of Chanterelles for evening meal! Delicious!
Stayed hot and sunny till late. Currently, the insects  seen in the dropping sun under my Birches are zooming around.
