Playing chicken

Even hotter today! We went for a (shortish) tramp over the hills to a black sand beach - Traigh na Cille - where we paddled for a while before walking back along the single track road. This would have been so easy not long ago, but the hip is making life difficult at the moment.

We stopped on the way back at the 'The Hen House', for an outdoor lunch at a picnic table in the field opposite. It has the most beautiful view. It wasn't far to walk back to the cottage. It was really too hot this afternoon to sit outside, strange tho' it may seem, so we sat indoors with the back and front doors open and chilled out!
