AOG Closing Ceremony

“As all of our athletes enter and gather in the center of the stadium to celebrate the closing of AOG 2020, let’s take a moment to focus on the Olympic Flag which has been flying high above our venue for fourteen days but soon it will be lowered to signal the end of these games. The five rings represent the five continents of the world as of 1912, and its colors represent those on all national flags of the world at the present time. As our Honorary AOG President Rogge said “This flag is a universal symbol belonging to mankind. It is an expression of universality and of brotherhood of the world.” These athletes demonstrate what acceptance is all about, what supporting one another means. They represent the Olympic Values of Excellence, Respect and Friendship. Humankind could learn from these Olympic athletes, don’t you agree? Oh, just a moment, the Olympic Hymn is now playing. Let’s watch as Mayor Finch of the hosting city extends the beloved Olympic Flag to Mayor Ichneumonidae Wasp, the new host city for AOG 2021. Folks, it’s been such a pleasure being with you throughout these games. We’ve witnessed the thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat. It’s been an inspirational experience! Now, let’s sit back and watch our Olympians one last time.”
