It’s been a very busy day!

Decided to bake so that we had a few treats in the van and to take to Paul’s mum when we go for coffee on our way through Inverness.

Then Lynne, who I met many years ago in Italian class, came to catch up. She is an actress and for the last few years has done a touring theatre so we’ve missed that this year. We had a coffee and sampled the baked goods before setting off up to the moor for 11 km walk. We were trying to find a suitable route around the moor for her to bring her dancing friends some of whom are 80 year olds and don’t do steep bits. Once up there it’s a gentle circuit but we did some wandering so that I could point out more gentle ascents.

We had a great chat about what we’d been reading a lot of which had been the same. She gave me a TV recommendation from catch up on Channel 4, A Walter Presents called “The Mafia only kills in Summer”. She said it was funny but gripping. Anyone seen it?

Had the van to pack and a curry to cook as “we” don’t want the van to smell of it cooking, so that’s ready just to heat up tomorrow, wherever we end up.
