escaped to the coast

For weeks now I have been yearning to breathe sea air again. A week on Yorkshires east coast is the tonic needed. Unfortunately the weather is cloudy and much cooler but who cares a change of scene is long overdue and this view over North Landings is just what I've been dreaming of. We are now in our cottage and looking forward to the rest of the week. This was rearranged when our trip here was cancelled at Easter.
We have actually lined up a few staycations after this as our big 6 week holiday touring NZ is now officially cancelled with Singapore Airlines pulling the flight from LHR scheduled for mid October. Also the quarantine rules look most likely to still be in place and scupper our trip to France in September, so frustrating but we do need to follow the rules and control this awful virus.
