Crags
Some admin., and a little more work on the bathroom curtains.
Then, mid-afternoon, MrM and I decided to get out for a walk, up through Humbleton Village and round the back of Humbleton Hill. By coincidence, John C had decided on a very similar walk and we bumped into him (in a socially distanced manner, of course) on the track, and walked together on part of St Cuthbert's Way until he went down through Humbleton, and we took the track through the Common, in the hope of spotting a red squirrel or two. No reds today, but we did see a herd of wild Cheviot goats (about two dozen of them grazing on the side of Humbleton Hill), and John spotted a slow worm (extra).
Warm and very humid, and overcast for the most part, but occasional rays of sunshine lit up the grass in the fields, their lime-green brightness contrasting wonderfully with the purple heather (extra).
Home for a late evening meal, and some chilled cider.
The Blip shows Housey Crags (above the Harthope Valley). Hedgehope Hill is to the right, under cloud.
