SEASONAL COLOURS

The seaweed seems to be taking on autumnal hues. I don't think I've noticed it being this variegated before. Nearby were the remains of a green crab (extra) which was another first for me, though apparently one in twenty Common Shore Crabs are green, which I didn't know.

I came across a bunch of twitchers (is that the collective noun) all peering into a tree at what they told me was a cuckoo! I couldn't see it  and thought it must be very late, though I've just read that the juveniles leave for Africa several weeks later than the adults so perhaps not.
