Bunnicula Strikes Again

When the grandkids were little we read a series of chapter books about a vampire rabbit who sucked the juice out of vegetables, leaving a wake of white carcasses behind. Looks like he’s been very active in local gardens with this heat wave. What a disappointment to find these big fat Brandywines completely destroyed on the vine. I’ve been checking them every day to see if they were ripe, but it doesnt look like we’ll be tasting any very soon.


Today was much cooler, so I think the worst of this is over. Except for the overcast/smoky sky and general heaviness of everything..... all of it keeps me in a stupor.
