Two Castles

After supper today we caught the King Harry Ferry to visit St. Mawes. Another lovely evening for a stroll. In my blip you can see St. Mawes castle in the forefront with Pendennis Castle in the distance, built by Henry VIII to protect ships anchored in the River Fal.

Before we arrived, mum has been sorting out things from her loft and had it all laid out in one of the spare rooms. Lots of photos to the children to see if there was anything they are interested in before if goes off to a charity shop. It looks like we will be taking a car load home :-)

Mum also found a bag of my old school books which also included some old postcards, 2 that I had sent them . One from a brownie camp an another from a school journey trip. There was also a programme from the very first concert I attended, The Police in a big top tent on Tooting Bec Common. The week before we queued up all night on the common to get our tickets....and it was December. Of course, at that age it’s all great fun.
