'CATCHING THE EVENING RAYS OF SUNSHINE'

....Upon our evening walk .... after the Cricket, that is, we found some more Mulga Parrots - some of the most common inland parrots - obviously a family of about 6 or so, flying in amongst a big bamboo patch on the river bank, which would have been there for many years, and a safe-haven for the birdlife along the river - just around the corner from us.
The days are becoming just that little bit shorter here, and the shadows longer, but for the birds they know when it is time to settle down for the night and there's lots of activity among them..this little fellow was sitting quite comfortably, enjoying the last rays of the warmth of the day...
