Tranquil

This refers to the flowers, not my day!

A poor night, not due to pain, but just one of those things. Consequently I’ve been Mrs Glum most of the day.

I had two items on the list to sort out, anything more would be a bonus.

I had a letter from the gastro team who ordered the CT scan in Lincoln, when I got home from the Leicester hospital, telling me about the aneurysm and referring me to the local cardio team for an urgent appointment. I wrote to both teams at the weekend to update them on my activities.  Yesterday I had a text message from the Lincoln hospital offering me a telephone consultation in September.

I endeavoured to find out what was happening, was this a new appointment or a follow up on behalf of Leicester. Spoke to the secretary......no idea.....would ring me back! 3 hours later a response. This is a new appointment which I do not need and how the %^*+ do they think that they can assess me over the phone!!!! The secretary did agree with the madness of it all. She is going to investigate and ring back tomorrow, but in the meantime I have to sit on my response to the appointment offered.

The next job was to contact my GP practice about prescribing the new medication required after surgery, which has to be taken ....no discussion. I have to ring back at 8am tomorrow to book a telephone consultation. I’m not at my best at that time of day, so I’ve enlisted B’s help to call on my behalf. If they won’t accept his call, I really will throw ‘my rattle out of the pram’. If I miss the allocation of appointment slots I will have to ring back on Thursday!!!!!

I had a sleep on the settee, then spoke to R on her daily walk.

The highlight of my day was receiving a parcel from a fellow blipper, Madhatter, in Essex. She has sent me two small William Morris tapestries, perfect for settee sewing and one of her masks. It is a Thaxted windmill design, a lovely reminder of a village we lived in for almost 30 years :0))))

Tomorrow will be another day and hopefully today’s problems will be resolved.

This should have been ‘haircut’ day, but that has been deferred for 3 weeks. Back to the elastic band for the fringe .........:0(
