The Rain in ........ Westbourne

Took Mr B to the tennis club for 930 game, as pelting down. Stopped off at Waitrose (my first supermarket shop since Covid, but checked first and it was empty) to buy rye* flour. They didn’t have any, so bought strong white and some yeast. Took it home, put on the bread machine (*luckily haven’t run out yet, made more rye bread), and then collected Mr BT at 10:30.

Weather even worse by then, so drove to Westbourne for a coffee, and sipped it under the florist’s canopy opposite M&S.

Back home and made another céleri remoulade, with beetroot added. Had some for lunch and Mr B made a cucumber salad.

Couple of phone calls from friends/family. Filled in a lengthy questionnaire prior to our dentist check-ups on Friday. Getting fed up with having to repeatedly supply me and hubby’s ills and medications. Why don’t the NHS provide a scannable code!?

Had 2 slices of my freshly baked rye bread. Now time for dinner. Shall do something with an ageing aubergine and courgette.

Thanks to RockArea for today’s Wide Wednesday challenge “Signs of Spring/Autumn”. Mild, but grey and wet. Looks Autumnal.
