Dinner

Had a few hours in the garden weeding as the forecast shows quite a lot of wind and rain in the upcoming days. Harvested some green leaves and some pretty chard which were the mainstay of the evening meal.
Hung out three loads of washing for the same reason, the line broke when load two was added, but luckily no real damage and we were able to reinstate it after a fashion which meant I could make use of the lovely sunshine and breeze!
Mum rang me a bit flustered and upset as she'd had a letter from social services to say they hadn't received the forms and documentation re. her carers! Mostly upset as my daughter had spent time with her completing them meticulously and doing all the copying of documents and getting it in the post for her. I telephoned the office on the letter, on her behalf. They were very apologetic and said the letters must have crossed in the post! The lady was very apologetic and said her claim had been processed, and the upshot is mum won't have to pay for her care. Mum was pleased with the result as she would have been happy to pay if necessary, especially as she really likes her carer who comes in every morning and helps her shower and wash her hair, and was so relieved she didn't have to complete more forms.
