Brodie Castle
A lovely day out in the sunshine. We knew it would probably be the last of the nice days and we wanted to see a special installation at Brodie Castle. It’s not too far away but would be quicker by boat as it’s the other side of the Firth.
We stopped at Sainsbury’s to use the Toilets as it was not clear if they would be open at the castle. It’s only the second time I’ve been in a Supermarket since March but it was well organised and quiet so we had a quick look around.
On to the Castle and we enjoyed a walk round the grounds, the castle is closed, and listened to the Horns in the shrubbery. https://findhornbayarts.com/events/sound-horn/
It was quiet ,just a few people walking around. There was a lovely patch of wildflowers and sweet peas. We drove to the pond to see the swans and ducks and then went on to Nairn.
We went down to the harbour and bought some soup and cake from the little cafe.We sat in the car to eat/drink it looking at the view across the water to the Sutors.A group of redshanks and turnstones landed in front of us.
