Just Mercy

This film is both brilliant and unbearably awful at the same time. The book it's based on is even better. It's the story of a lawyer (a total hero) who campaigns for prisoners wrongly put on Death Row mostly in Alabama. One of the most shocking things is how recently it is set; you want to believe it's way back in the past but it's so recent. I don't know when I last read a book which I could hardly keep going with because what I was reading about made me so sad and angry. I would say it's shocking, but then the sad thing is that it really isn't anymore.
