Olympics

This is the diving pool of an Olympic sized swimming pool built in 1989 by Saddam Husein. It was never filled with water! Sadam apparently wanted to host the Olympics in Iraq.

We're in the mountains for two days. We decided it would be safe enough and so far we've not seen or heard any Turkish jets. It was so amazing to feel chilly this evening when I was sitting outside. First time in months! Glorious!
