This was the most exciting moment of the day , ordering and then consuming the first Fish and chips since lockdown began. 
We had just finished a very pleasant, if rainy , walk up our local hill and  decided to push the boat out , take the plunge and brave the local chippy . 
What I really value about living in Blackburn is that no matter where you stand you can always see the hills. 
We have managed to get through a pile of house jobs today and then we heard that our area Is now deemed to require extra lockdown measures. It’s so frustrating as the Corona cases are in very small clusters and the death rate has not gone up . It’s reassuring to know that the extra cases have not  resulted in extra deaths . 
 We have had to cancel some outdoor walks with friends we had planned which is disappointing. 
At least we have each other and some rather smart masks !
