We do not yet need flood defences, though the volume of rain today made us begin to question whether we might. The forecast said “light rain”!

This delivery of sand, sharp sand and cement signals the next phase in the front path restructuring. Next week we hope the slabs will get laid.

The day started being stalked after midnight by the local fox as I walked the dog. It stayed about 15- 20 metres behind me. Stopped when we stopped. Moved when we moved. Even followed us round a corner. Then just took off.

Much of daytime taken up with photographing my entries for the office virtual flower show. Seemed to take as long as setting up the displays normally. ”Judging” next week.

Take away Chinese provided a good chilli burn to round off the day.
