Butterfly flutter by......

Some heavy showers this morning followed by a sunny, breezy afternoon.
A day spent filling wet grain into the grain pit and running it into the wet grain tower. When full and all the lids are sealed the grain breaths out CO2 which builds up enough to preserve it.
However it is a very slow job to fill the 100 tons as the elevators and conveyors are on their last legs and have been for a while . Mind you they were installed in 1961 when handling 4 tons an hour was the norm. So I suppose they aren’t due me anything !
Had to switch everything off at tea time to go next door to help wee brother calve another heifer. A big Angus bull calf this time. A bit slow to start breathing once we got him out but is doing ok now.
This butterfly was having a wee rest at the roadside so that will have to do for tonight’s Blip .
