Apparently I’m loyal

I came across my high school grad photos today and what I noticed first and foremost, was the hair.

Since that photo in 1981 I don’t think my hair has been as long until this COVID year. This year it was getting pretty long and unmanageable. I look at this photo and wonder how did I keep it looking so good.

But as I stared at it, something about it struck me. Then I realized, I had worn that very tie while doing a funeral a month or so ago. So I looked back in my photos. Sure enough, there it was. Apparently I’m loyal to a good tie.

Wait, so not only do I have a tie from the late 70’s, but I still wear it? From 40 years ago? That surprises me and astounds me, in a speechless sort of way.

I have now achieved the status where I can say to people 40 years and younger, “I have ties older than you.”

Quite the milestone.
