Can you see the bird in this photo ?
It had been a day of very heavy showers , so heavy that the gutter was over flowing again. The cars are now nicely washed, all the squashed bugs have been removed by the rain water :)
We went out to Udale bay to see how high the tide was. It was the highest I’ve seen it as it was over the fields and only a tiny patch of grass left in the middle.
Saw a buzzard and red kite fly over but no Osprey.
Drove round to Newhall point. The carpark is full of pot holes which really need to be filled.
Lots of rigs in the Firth at the moment but I do not mind them especially at night when they are all lit up.They have started building a new pier at Invergordon. At this time of year there are usually at least two Cruise ships visiting the area so it seems strange not to see any at all.
There has been an expensive yacht moored near us though.It has an interesting story https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/highlands/2400613/superyacht-belonging-to-russian-american-oil-tycoon-docks-near-chanonry-point/ .It’s not the best looking yacht I have seen. Richard Bransons one that we saw years ago in Salcombe was more impressive ( if you have a spare 70,000 dollars you can hire it for a week ! )
Had a jacket potato and salad for dinner and then started to watch Gracepoint staring David Tenant,which is basically Broadchurch set in America. Not sure we’ll carry on with it .
