On the terrace

Two friends came up from the coast to stay this weekend to be able to attend the bellringing practice on Saturday and the service ringing today. They stayed with us and we have had a very pleasant time including a meal out on the terrace of le Cortal restaurant which has a lovely view of the mountains. It was my turn to be question master for the Sunday quiz this week on the theme of Europe. I FaceTimed my son this afternoon expecting to talk to him in Manchester as he was due to visit us with the family but had to cancel due to the quarantine. I was very surprised to see him sitting next to a swimming pool with a blue sky behind him and he told me he found a last minute flight and accommodation in Portugal. They were packed and ready to go in four hours and then caught the plane. I am so pleased that, after having to cancel two holidays this summer, they finally got away.
