Rainy drive in service!

A rather unsettled day today, bringing us some much needed rain. We enjoyed our usual online service this morning, but in the evening we also had a “drive-in” service. This was the third time we had one - we made the first one, but couldn’t make the second. With the rain, and occasional thunder and lightening I wasn’t sure it would go ahead, but it did. The praise band had to move just inside the doors, since cables and water don’t make a good mix, and the pastors spoke from just in front of the canopy- if the stayed underneath they got feedback.. it wasn’t so good not being able to see the praise band, but it was still nice being there, and waving to people in their cars! As the service drew to a close, the skies typically began to clear somewhat, and once home we experienced some beautiful sunset clouds - see extra. In the afternoon we’d enjoyed phone calls with Roger’s Dad and our daughter Laura.
