Further dismantling
Unit 7: Low pressure steamturbine. The outer casing of the turbine has been taken off and now you can see part of the blading.
Steam is blowing against these blades, thus making them turn at 3000 revolutions per minute.
The big pipes on top usually are connected to the outlet of the Medium Pressure turbine which can be seen on the left between the scaffolding.
They are sitting on wooden plates, which cover the space which leads to the condensor which stands under the low pressure turbine and where the steam is condensed to water again.
The soundproof casing has already been removed to give the technicians more room to work. At the right the soundproof casing of the generator still can be seen; it stays in place.
Yesterday's Blip of the generator.
Meanwhile outside the sun was shining, here a view at the roof where the blowdownpipe of unit 4 shows that it's starting up.
