Rotorchange..

Due to some "minor" bearingproblems the overhaul of unit EC 7 is brought forward.....
So here the preparations are being made to pull out the rotor of the generator.

The endcovers are already removed.
The green pipes are from the condensatesystem and the condensate is used for cooling of the hydrogen in the generator.
Prior to opening the generator a complete program has to be followed: first the hydrogen has to be replaced by carbondioxide and that has to be exchanged by air.
Hydrogen in combination with air is highly explosive, so an intermidiate substance has to be used before the generator can be opened.
