The Duke

We booked a table for our lunch today, which was fortunate because when we arrived the pub and its garden were heaving with people. Apparently it has been this way since the £10 off scheme started. The pub we chose for our treat was The Duke of Wellington, and this bust of the Iron Duke watches over the diners. He looks very severe, maybe he doesn’t approve of our table manners. We had an excellent meal, as always at The Duke. The scheme ends after the bank holiday weekend so we were just in time.
