Surrey countryside

We had to make a delivery in Godalming this morning and had decided we would make a day of it, drive on somewhere into the countryside and find a pub for lunch, hopefully getting our£10 off. But it was a dire morning, with wind and rain buffeting the car. We did drive on, exploring the Surrey lanes in the rain. There is lovely countryside in that area, and some very expensive properties too to wonder at. Mostly the lanes have high hedges, and it is unusual to see a view. When we did, it was almost obscured by misty rain. We decided against finding a pub and came home, making plans to eat out tomorrow instead.
No Tuesday Mahjong garden tea party today, we will be Zooming this evening instead.
