Cut Across Shorty

Double haircut day today! Mrs C has the professional job this afternoon but I’m still not comfortable with the idea of going to the barbers.
Whenever I’ve looked through the window there has always seemed to be a very laissez-faire attitude to social distancing, cleaning and masks. I’m sure it’s all perfectly ok but as the staff, and the majority of the clientele, fall into the “fit young men who like socialising category” then I feel there is too much risk that one or more may be an asymptomatic carrier of Covid. Not a problem for them but could be an issue for a 60 year old diabetic like me.
So, no visit to the barbers and it was out with the clippers again. But rather than just shave it all off, I thought I’d try for a teensy bit of style. Ran a no.3 over everything myself, then asked Mrs C to fade it down at the back with nos.1 & 0
I reasoned that if it all went horribly wrong, I could always ask her hairdresser to try and correct it later!
Looks alright from the front and I’m assured by Mrs C that it looks good from behind. I can’t, unfortunately, check that but the absence of sniggers or gasps whilst in the gym this afternoon would suggest all is well.

(Phew! Almost forgot to mention that - loss of brownie points narrowly averted!)
