Beach Trees
I'm always fascinated by the patterns that the sea makes in the sand and to me these look like sketched trees. I walked on West Runton beach this morning at 8, average weather and a bit chilly, so thankfully not many tourists around. I had a chat with a lovely lady that goes to our photo group and who unfortunately got flooded in the recent heavy rain in Sheringham, floods are so devastating. More digging today, then a Sainsbury's delivery.
Day 165 / Full Day 157 of Lockdown / Day 55 of Step 3 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 12 to 41,477 (revised basis), with new daily cases up by 1,522 (a worrying rise, the highest since 12th June) and 767 patients in hospital. Total cases to date in the US pass 6m. In France new daily cases pass 6k, the R rate is reported as 1.4 and face coverings are now required across Paris. From 4am on Saturday, people arriving in the UK from Switzerland, Jamaica and the Czech Republic will have to quarantine for 14 days, but Cuba has been added to the exempt list. A man and his companion were removed from a Ryanair plane before take off by officials in Hazmat suits as he received a text saying he'd tested positive. Pret A Manger is closing 30 outlets and cutting 2,800 jobs, with a further 1,000 people agreeing to move to reduced minimum weekly hours. A trial in parts of NW England will look to pay those having to self isolate and who claim Universal Credit or Working Tax Credit up to £182 which is £13 a day - soooooo low.
