Black eye!

I had thought I might have two black eyes so this is not bad. My lower eye drains were cauterised today so that the artificial tears I put in hang around a little longer.
Rob and I were at the hospital for 8.20 and then the forms and the checks took a while and then I was in theatre at 9.50. I reckon the actual procedure only took 4 minutes but there was an injection of local anaesthetic below each eye and then a short wait for it to take effect. The injection was bloomin' sore but as a result of the anaesthetic the cautery just felt "warm". I really hope it has worked. Very grateful the hospital was back to doing routine procedures. The doc and the nurses were lovely. Especially the one who held my hand! I have anti biotic ointment for a week.
