Green woodpecker with a beady eye

and it is STILL SNOWING!

A bit of blipping luck that I heard a knocking sound as I arrived at work and spotted this gorgeous green woodpecker drilling in to the tree outside our office. It is a bit blurry and he looks rather ruffled but I am glad I got him. I've seen him about but never managed to capture him until now.

That staring eye looks like one of those stick on eyes to me.
