Waspish.....

I've been chasing these for a few days now. They've been attracted to a particular flower at Trentham Gardens but are a devil to photograph. They don't stay very long feeding on each flower head, so there were way more blurry shots than in focus.

There was a bit of drama on the lake too. A fight broke out between a male mute swan and one of the smaller black swans. They were probably fighting over territory. It didn't become dramatic until another mute swan joined in. The mute swans are far more aggressive and bigger than the black ones, and they were pushing it under the water surface. It did eventually manage to escape unharmed. Phew! I did report it to one of the gardeners who did radio the wildlife manager.
