Boot Sale Today

Early start for the Boot Sale and as before dealers are queuing up to see if there is anything of interest being unloaded.  We are not regulars and this is only the second one I have been to.  Helping out my friend as we try to step up fund raising as best we can as restrictions loosen.  I also have a quite a few items to sell from Mum's house now that she is a Care Home resident.  We had very nice tenants anxious to get settled into Mum's home before the birth of their first baby and so it was a bit of a scramble to clear and prepare it for them. Apart from the early dealers doing the rounds it was a slow start from customers but it picked up and we felt quite happy at the result.  Quick trip to the adjacent Council Waste and Recycling Centre to drop of some items and then we were down to those things that can now go to Charity Shops.  The book? ... Longfellow's Poetry Works - I saved it from the sale - thought it would come in handy for Still Life shots and poetry is a favourite of Mum's - could not part with it in the end.
