Old Lace.
Something else I could not let go at the Boot Sale. Not family heirloom lace but part of a bundle that came with a fabric shop's contents that I took over some years ago. The previous owner also dealt in antique household linen and lace. It was very popular some time ago but looking on ebay there seemed to be quite a lot on offer and very cheap too considering the skill involved in making lace such as this.
The extra is our outing to a Hollywood Bowl today. Davey and his carer Lewis and another carer with his client had arranged the visit but he had not realised it was Bank Holiday and could not make it so Davey's Mum and me made up the foursome so that the booking was not lost or Davey left disappointed. Here he is with Lewis making a judgement on when to release the ball mounted on a ramp. The final result was a boy/girl divide with the boys only a couple of marks apart and us girls trailing with only a point between us. We enjoyed it!
