baby joey

 Our zoo has a very successful breeding program for Australian Red-necked Wallabies (in the same family as kangaroos). Here is a photo of a four month old joey poking his still bald head out of his mama's pouch. His mama was born just last year! The joeys start getting out of the pouch when they are about 7 months old, and totally leave the pouch at 9 months. So this little guy is still half baked.
The two photos in extras are a Green Chameleon , and a Mexican Gray Wolf.
