On holiday

The first day of September and my first day of holiday for a few weeks!  A long lie in was followed with breakfast and a conversation about meteorological and astrological seasons.  We'd not realised that astrological winter doesn't start until around 22nd December each year.

I walked Merlin as Andy had an appointment to drop more unwanted goods at the recycling centre.  We had a good potter but Merlin didn't come off the lead as it was busy in the field with walkers, cyclists and people having picnics.  Later we went along to Prinsted, a small village a mile or so from here, where we walked along next to the sea.  The sun was out and it felt really like being on holiday.  All we needed was an ice cream!
