'Only' Sparrows
For a change, a photo of a bird not on a feeder! There must be a lot of Sparrows nesting in the Ivy this year - and they are using the Mahonia bush as their front door. I went out the back door the other day and at least 15 emerged from the bush and flew into the Buddleia. Today I saw this one sunning herself and was able to get quite close - she knew I was there but was not bothered. Then I spotted several more young ones peeping out between the leaves - see 'extra'. I can't see any nests in the Mahonia itself - they seem to just pass through it into the Ivy. Lovely to see them - even if they are 'only' Sparrows!
